Gourmet Theater

Combine a love of cooking and theater in this exciting week at Piperwood. Girls will spend time creating healthy snacks, yummy desserts and fun drinks, then try their hand at acting, costuming and performing. They will also explore the trails of Piperwood for wild edibles and use the woods as a backdrop for one of their plays. Girls will also have time for arts and crafts and the Splash Pad.  Requirements towards the Eat Right, Stay Healthy and Puppets, Dolls and Plays will be met.

Team Piperwood

Weeks Offered:  July 21-25, 2008

This week is geared for girls on the go who love games, working on a team and inventing new activities. Girls will try out different games and sports that may include disc golf, badminton, juggling, soccer and more. Girls will learn good stretching techniques, build teamwork and work on coordination. Girls will also work together to invent a new game to teach to the rest of camp. Girls will have the chance to play in the Splash Pad and try their hand at arts and crafts throughout the week.  Requirements towards the GirlSports, Playing Around the World and My Body Try-Its will be met.

Creature Feature

Do you love animals? Explore the fields, forests and skies for the bugs, birds and mammals that make their home at Camp Piperwood. Girls will search the property for signs of animal tracks and nests, capture (and release) butterflies and ladybugs and receive a visit from some Seneca Park Zoo animals. There will be time for girls to cool off in the

Splash Pad, play games and participate in arts and crafts. 

Requirements towards the Animals and Watching Wildlife Try-Its will be met.
